This morning as I was spending time with God, I started getting distracted. While I was thoroughly enjoying the time, I started thinking about all I needed to get accomplished. Last week was an extremely busy week and I felt like God called our family to take a day of rest yesterday. despite the fact that my house is atrocious (and I don’t say that lightly!). With the mess around me and the task list looming, I was feeling guilty about sitting in the chair. God had a message for me though:
“You are in a good place. You are where I called you to be. The housework will be there later. I am calling you to renew your mind which takes time with Me. The time we spend will benefit others around you more than a clean house can. Your children and your husband will see the benefits. Your family and friends will see the benefits. Those people who are affected by what I have called you to do will see the benefits. Sit a little longer with me. I am enjoying your company.”
